Tuition

UKCC assessment at Heathcroft Stud, where I was assessed by British Showjumpings head of coaching Di Lampard.  I am now a BS accredited coach.

I am available for lessons on your own horse. I can help you get the best out of your horse, whether you are looking to build up your confidence and trust in your horse, or are looking to improve your competition results.

Claire and Bob jump a lovely clear at AintreeI have had a lot of success helping all levels of riders - from helping nervous and novice riders who just want to compete locally for a bit of fun, to very competitive, ambitious riders who want to win as much as possible.

I have my own facilities and can do lessons for groups and individuals here at Spartanwood Farm, or I can travel to you. I can also provide help at shows and competitions.

The value of lessons

I myself have lessons every week with my jumping horses. I find having an expert eye on the ground to watch you is invaluable. I really enjoy learning new exercises and techniques. When you're working on your own everyday with your horse you get into many bad habits without even realising, until your coach points them out.

Record of success

Charlotte and Archie at Ameteur championshipsPast pupils of mine have gained places in the British Young Riders squad, qualified for Olympia, 'Horse of the Year' Show and been 'Scope' winners.

I have learned nearly everything I know from my own training and experiences. I spent two years at the very best training yard in Warwickshire. Ted and Liz Edgar are renowned for producing some of the best show jumpers in the World. I loved my time there. I have also had help from Malcolm Pyrah, David Broome, Mary Broome, Mark Phillips, Blyth Tait and my good friend Susie Gibson.
