Avoid worry with licensing and driver hours regulations The new regulations that we are being baffled with by VOSA are an absolute minefield for everyone. If or when all the new rules come into force it will mean a number of riders are not meant to drive their horse boxes or cars and trailers which are over 7.5 tones at the weekends due to working hours regulations. I myself am still struggling to understand, as even cars and trailers should fall under the new rules(combined weight over 7.5 tones). The only horse transporter void of the rules is a 3.5 tone two stall truck. These horse transporters are becoming very popular and can be driven by anyone with a standard driving license.
